Yesterday we represented our culture on Malaysian day. It was conducted by SABAH Arts and Culture CouncilMalaysia and Co-hosted by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, where we performed the cultures of Pakistan. With in the short notice from our teachers we were ready to display our culture of Gilgit Baltistan and finally we did well on that day.

Summer Outfits

Everyone always asks me to describe my style and my response changes every time. I can't help it! I'm eclectic and my style depends on my mood. I'm using pieces from my Spring/Summer Collection for my clothing brand.They have so many options to choose from & it was a hard decision on picking JUST one but I chose this beautiful mint satchel. I love the pop of colors, mix+match-ablity, and endless summer vibe.If clothes could speak, this is what they would say about my style..

Necklace:

I layered two necklaces for this open collar look. There is something so cool about devouring the decollate with these ornate necklaces dripping in silver. I am totally a top-button kinda gal. To jazz up the bare neckline I threw on this statement piece with draped chains. Did you notice the sick handchain too? I think I could wear this every day...

Fashion trends in different eras

Fashion is trend-driven. Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behavior and the newest creations of textile designers.

Fashion is a multi-billion-dollar industry that has considerable impact on the way ordinary people dress and present themselves. But there is more to fashion than the different articles of clothing; fashion is made up of designers, buyers, retailers, editors, and columnists. While all parties work together to create an image, all of these parties can simultaneously be affected by outside forces.

Early Western travelers, whether to Persia, Turkey, India, or China, would frequently remark on the absence of change in fashion there. The Japanese Shogun's secretary bragged (not completely accurately) to a Spanish visitor in 1609 that Japanese clothing had not changed in over a thousand years. However, there is considerable evidence in Ming China of rapidly changing fashions in Chinese clothing.

The beginning in Europe of continual and increasingly rapid change in clothing styles can be fairly reliably dated. Historians, including James Laver and Fernand Braudel, date the start of Western fashion in clothing to the middle of the 14th century.

In the 16th century national differences were at their most pronounced. Ten 16th century portraits of German or Italian gentlemen may show ten entirely different hats. Albrecht Durer illustrated the differences in his actual (or composite) contrast of Nuremberg and Venetian fashions at the close of the 15th century

In the 17th to 18th centuries imposed similar styles.

Marie Antoinette, wife of Louis XVI, was a leader of fashion. Her choices, such as this 1783 white muslin dress called a chemise a la Reine, were highly influential and widely worn.

Prior to the mid-19th century, most clothing was custom-made. It was handmade for individuals, either as home production or on order from dressmakers and tailors.

DELICIOUS DELIGHTS

I tend to have my go to products, foods, drinks and even books which bring me so much happiness and joy & today I’m going to be talking you through just that. My current ‘Delicious Delights‘that are helping me transition through to spring. I have a handful of things I’ve been loving over the past few weeks that I knew I had to share with you,

I have been reaching for the new DKNY Delicious Delight in ‘Fruity Rooty’ a heck of a lot these days – this is the purple sorbet delight. I would have to say that this scent is my favorite from their new range. It’s a beautiful blend of blackberry, rose petals and violet flower it’s brought me back to my sweet scented obsession which I’ve had from a very young age. There is something about spring that makes me want to wear nothing but fun, fruity and sweet scents and this is just that.

Dreamsicle, is the orange delight, it combines juicy mandarin with green apple. It’s a great pick-me-up scent for the mornings where you want that little bit extra. And then we have ‘Cool Swirl’, the green delight, which is a mix of jasmine (L.O.V.E) and coconut water.  The DKNY Delicious Delights scents have that that fun and fruity element, yet smelling unique on their own, all together. That can only mean one thing – that these will suite everyone’s taste.

I highly believe that the little delights we have in our lives, & things we treat ourselves to, make a huge impact on our mood & happiness. Fragrance being one of my favorites along with food, lipsticks and a bit of bling. You can’t go wrong with them!

Dressing is more than wearing the most recent style pattern, it’s about liking what you're wearing, looking balanced and feeling confident in all circumstances.

The fact of the matter is, the manner by which individuals dress is connected somehow to how they feel. They feel first and dress later. Simply think about a period when you didn't feel well, would you have liked to do whatever is necessary and dress keen? Not likely. You likely pulled on whatever was nearest to you and dressed the way you felt – not that well.

If we change the way we dress the way we feel will change. When we are dressed well and look good we automatically feel better. When we feel good we are more likely to feel good inside, have more energy and treat others better.

Know the color effects

Color is the magic that brings interest to our world. The right colors will make your eyes sparkle and your skin glow; while the wrong colors will make you look tired and your skin drab. It is essential to know the colors that look best on you. You can do this without anyone else's help by sitting before a mirror, putting distinctive hues by your face and notification which hues make your skin wake up and which ones wash it out.

Colors are divided into two categories –warm and cool. When you discover which colors look best on you and wear them consistently you will notice that you look better, feel better and have more confidence. Knowing the emotional effect of colours and their symbolic links allows us to choose colors that will give us our desired effects.

Fashion is something that is not only exits to clothing or shoes. It is something that has a significant role in our lives. It is self-expression which allows us to try in our lives. It is a kind of a way to celebrate the variety and diversity of the world where we live. It is changed thing to different individuals. For some people fashion is an art, some say it is religion and it’s a job. It is a glance in to behavior. While fashion address many aspects of society. Especially the cultural looks of the

different people through which we identify and it give them a unique identification. Every era has its own fashion styles, time to time the trend of fashion was changed and still it is changing and fashion is all about change which is much important to keep life exciting. Social networking provides a lot of exposure nowadays. Our youth basically adopt different fashions from advertisements, fashion shows and movies. They even adopt the way of walking, talking, behaviour and gestures of the characters of the movies.

Every day we deal with new fashion, some people usually say that they don’t care about fashion but in most of cases they choose clothes to wear for a single day and which reflect a lot things about them and also tell us what they sense. Fashion dresses communicate numerous things, because fashion is a semantic which tell us story about the people who wear.

In every seasons people come up with new fashions, we can say that our life is all about fashion, it is necessary for us to have a style in our life and changing in fashion style may keep us entertain in our lives and it provides us exciting life as well.
